New York Public Library's Famous Lions To Be Restored
Standing outside the Main Branch of the New York Public Library on Fifth Avenue and 41st Street for more than a century, the Lions known as Patience and Fortitude are an icon in their own right.
They been featured in countless movies and TV shows; and they have drawn large crowds of visitors from all over the World.
The Lions have also been use as the logo for the New York Public Library, which is one of the three public libraries serving the Five Boroughs of New York City.
The NYPL serves the boroughs of Manhattan, The Bronx and Staten Island.
However, come September, these kings of the concrete jungle, which front the most famous library in the World, will be covered over and given a complete restoration work that will last for more than two months.
