Unfortunately, the Central Perk cafe featured in the series does not actually exist in New York City. The cafe was actually shot in a studio in Burbank, California.
It should also be noted, that the exterior shot of the building where the cast lived was actually filmed in New York City. The build is located on the corner of Grove and Bedford Streets in Greenwich Village. The interior shots where filmed out West.
