What’s old is new again.
Cats, the fourth-longest running musical in the history of the Great White Way, returns this summer after a 16 years absent, according to media reports.
The Andrew Lloyd Webber musical based on the T. S. Eliot poem Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, will have previews beginning July 14 with opening night taking place on August 2 at the Neil Simon Theatre.
The original show ran for nearly 18 years, ending in 2000 after 7,485 performances.
