If you're going shopping at the Jersey Gardens Outlet Center (formerly the Jersey Gardens Mall) in Elizabeth, NJ and need to know how to get there from New York City, here's your answer to that question.
From the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown, Manhattan, you can take NJ Transit bus routes 111 or 115 to the shopping mall for $6.50 one way ($13 round trip). The trip take around an hour each way.

The Port Authority Bus Terminal, which is the city's main bus terminal for inter-city and regional buses, is located on Eighth Avenue and West 42nd Street, a block west from Times Square.
Getting to and from the bus terminal is very easy and simple. Take the 1, 2, 3, 7, N, R, Q or the 42nd Street Shuttle to Times Square, or the A, C or E subway lines to 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal.
Another way to get to and from Jersey Gardens will be by rail and bus.
From Midtown or Lower Manhattan, you can take the PATH train, which is a commuter inter-urban, to Harrison or Newark-Penn Station, where a connection can be made to NJ Transit bus route 40 to the mall.

The one way fare on the PATH train from Manhattan to either Harrison or Newark-Penn Station will cost you $2 with a pay per ride (regular fare) MetroCard, while bus fare from either Newark-Penn Station or the Harrison PATH Train station will cost you $2.35 one way ($4.70 round trip).
It should be noted that if you're taking the PATH train from 33rd Street in Midtown, you will need to change trains at Journal Square in order to continue your trip to Harrison or Newark-Penn Station. Transfer between trains are free.
