Traveling from NYC to Woodbury Common without a car?

Woodbury Common Premium Outlet in Central Valley, NY

Located about an hour northwest of New York City in Central Valley, NY, Woodbury Common Premium Outlets is the nation's largest outdoor mall with more than 200 stores covering an area of more than 840,000 square feet (70,000 sq m), which is about the equivalent to 8,400 football fields laid end-to-end.

Now, whether you love to shop, or you're looking for a bargain, there are two ways to get from the city to the mall without a car.

By Bus

If you're going with the first option, which is by bus, ShoreLine/Coach USA provide frequent daily bus service from the Port Authority Bus Terminal to Woodbury Common. A day trip package cost $42 for adults and $21 for children ages 5 to 11.

You can purchase your ticket directly on the 2nd floor of the bus terminal, which is located on West 42nd Street and Eighth Avenue. No reservation required.

The bus to Woodbury Commons departs from Gate 310 on the 3rd Floor.

Getting to and from the bus terminal is very easy and simple. Take the 1, 2, 3, 7, N, R, Q or the 42nd Street Shuttle to Times Square, or the A, C or E subway lines to 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal.


By Rail

From New York Penn Station, which is located on West 33rd Street and 8th Avenue, take any westbound NJ Transit train to Seacacus Junction, where a transfer can be made to Bergen County-Main Line/Port Jervis Line, which will take you in the northbound direction to Harriman, NY.

Once you arrive at the Harriman train station, transfer to the ShoreLine Bus' Main Line Trolley, which will take you from the train station to the mall. The trolley operates everyday except on major holidays, when service is suspended.

The one way fare on NJ Transit from the City to Harriman via Seacacus Junction will cost you $12.75 ($25.50 round trip), while the one way fare on the Main Line Trolley will cost you $1.60.

Please remember to purchase you NJ Transit ticket prior to board the train at New York Penn Station, otherwise you will have to pay a higher fare onboard the train.

New York Penn Station, can be reached by taking the 1, 2, 3, A, C or E subway lines to 34th Street-Penn Station.
